Founded by Certified Athletic Trainer, entrepreneur, and former Varsity baseball head coach, Jeff Weems, PitchKount was born out of a lifelong passion for baseball and a commitment to player safety.
Across Jeff’s 30+ years of experience as an athletic trainer, he's worked for the New York Mets as well as in youth/travel ball, middle school, high school and college.
When the NFHS began requiring pitch count regulations in 2016, Jeff understood that coaches and administrators would need a management system, so he took out a 2nd mortgage on his home to self-fund the creation of the PitchKount system. Developed with direct input from coaches, athletic directors, and state athletic associations, PitchKount is the only patented pitch count management system widely used across the country.
PitchKount's mission is to protect player health and support the baseball community by simplifying pitch count management to improve compliance with pitching workload guidelines.
